Essay - English
From before the formation of the republic, Panama has been a traffic lane by which have passed, in different directions, the towns that before their discovery were to form part of the lands that would be conquered as well and colonized by the European kingdoms that they looked for to increase their dominions.
Panama, by its geographic and strategic position, has been the center of attention of many of the powers of the world. France, England, the United States, to mention some, have had a near relation with our country. This last one, has constituted the closer relation, leaving therefore the familiarity with the English language that we can find in several terms of our daily lives.
From those historical events for the isthmus, the use of different languages has been a determining factor in the formation than today we can call Republic of Panama. Hence the importance in the use of the language, specifically the English, that has been, and is, an important landmark in the commercial, scientific and social transactions in the daily activities of many countries in the world.
In the last years, the globalization has been transforming the concept of “job permanence” due to the demand that the society requires due to the type of of services given by different institutions, either public or private, thus getting to require from its collaborators the use of not only the maternal language, but a second, and soon even a third language.
By all the fact is known that the modernized companies that have entered globalisation require bilingual personnel, in order to serve and guarantee its existence.
The use of the English language nowadays is a requirement that many institutions require of their labor equipment for their good operation. He is then that we got to recognize that the transformation of the professional formation is not limited an indefinite number of requirements now to be able to obtain a place in certain work, but requires of workers who satisfy the needs with the companies that are developed in a globalised world.
In the last years the demand has noticed in our country that for of suitable personnel in the use of the English language applying to a labor place. As much the government, as the educative institutions have started up some projects awaiting satisfying this demand. Nevertheless, one becomes necessary to realise this investigation, in search of knowing how effective this practice has become in the reality and if the citizens create necessary the learning of a second language to be guaranteed a stability in the long term.

LORD’S PRAYER

Our Father, who art in heaven, Hallowed be thy Name. Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done, On earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive us our trespasses, As we forgive those who trespass against us. And lead us not into temptation, But deliver us from evil. For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, for ever and ever. Amen.

Word History: English is derived from England, one would think. But in fact the language name is found long before the country name. The latter first appears as Englaland around the year 1000, and means "the land of the Engle," that is, the Angles. The Angles, Saxons, and Jutes were the three Germanic tribes who emigrated from what is now Denmark and northern Germany and settled in England beginning about the fourth century a.d. Early on, the Angles enjoyed a rise to power that must have made them seem more important than the other two tribes, for all three tribes are indiscriminately referred to in early documents as Angles. The speech of the three tribes was conflated in the same way: they all spoke what would have been called *Anglisc, or "Anglish," as it were. By the earliest recorded Old English, this had changed to Englisc. In Middle English, the first vowel had already changed further to the familiar of today, as reflected in the occasional spellings Ingland and Inglish. Thus the record shows that the Germanic residents of what Shakespeare called "this sceptered isle" knew that they were speaking English long before they were aware that they were living in England.

It`s important to mention that not everyone has a good accent as a language lesson begins, but it's important to say that that "good pronunciation" is acquired with practice. The more the person practices, the better the pronunciation will be.

Practice the alphabet to begin the acquisition of a good pronunciation on it.
